A balmy -18 degrees Celsius. Another frosty protest rally in Winnipeg. This one against cuts to the CBC resulting in a loss of regional representation. Brian Mulroney was halfway through his second term as Prime Minister. Gary Filmon was Premier of Manitoba. Immediately below is a slide show, but if you want to see the captions you will have to scroll down. As always I would welcome input from anyone wishing to provide additional information or point out any failures to acknowledge individuals.

Great photos Rob. Thanks for sharing them. Remember that day well. Unfortunately the CBC is still on shaky grounds, and will be more so if the Conservatives win the next election. Cannot imagine our country with it!

CBC is a bit older than me, but from a young age I have heard voices from across Canada through a single speaker (so to speak). As time has gone on that sharing of voices has become more inclusive. Bravo.
