The Manitoba Nurses Union went on strike against the Conservative government of Gary Filmon on January 1, 1991. This rally and demonstration took place on January 9, 1991.
The rally started at the Winnipeg Convention Centre and ended with the Nurses and supporting Unions marching on the Legislature.
The temperature was -37C.
