During the time I worked at the Manitoba Museum and previously, for the Province of Manitoba, I was a member of the Manitoba Government Employees Association which later became the Manitoba Government Employees Union. During that time I took part in several job actions; mostly in the form of informational pickets or, as in this case, in support of a rally. This rally was organized by health care and education employees to protest government cuts. Gary Filmon, Conservative, was Premier, Gary Doer, NDP, was the leader of the opposition.
