I have seen this type of batting technique before.
Brought into law by the federal conservatives in 1986.
Only allowed on Canada Day.
This particular technique is indeed as awkward as it looks.
It becomes more difficult the more batters that are added.
Three or four batters are seldom seen but in this scenario of only two,
it is encouraged that two pitchers should throw to the two batters.
And two catchers are at the ready.
