St Luke's Whale Sale and Tea 1980

I accompanied a friend to St. Luke’s Whale Sale auction and tea. The donation and sale of “previously loved” items goes by many names; Garage sale, Yard sale, Neighbourhood sale, Flea markets,  etc. I have always preferred “Rummage Sale” myself, although the British “Jumble Sale” does have a ring to it.

The tea and the little sandwiches were perfection.

A shout out to all volunteers.

  1. Yes , the rummage sell , was always surprised not to see some of the real value seekers get out without a broken rib or black eye and still both arms attached, that’s just a image in my mind from a little boy .
