Down in the Seine is a series of photographs of the Seine river within the city of Winnipeg. The Seine is a full flowing river in spring and early summer and, depending on the year, an algae rich trickle in late summer. Not visible in most of the photographs is the amount of detritus thrown into the Seine. A shout out to the Save Our Seine group which was formed around this time. Their dedication and hard work restored this treasure to be enjoyed by all. The area photographed is between Marion Street and Fermor Avenue.
Although there is no connection, I have borrowed the title from a song of the same name by the Style Council. A favourite.

Who says you can’t make a silk purse out of a sow’s ear. Wonderful composition and balance here, Rob, as per usual.
Thank you Glen…
